Kali bichromate

Kali bich is the “go to” for sinusitis, or pain at the root of the nose. Characterised by thick green snot. A ripe cold or one that has gone to the sinuses. A cough with thick stringy mucus. Kali bich is like pulsatilla, the pains can wander from place to place but usually deeper and more intense. Those needing Kali bich may talk in excessive detail about their symptoms.

  • Pressure in the sinus, pain at the root of the nose
  • Thick ropey greenish discharge from the nose
  • Sinus infection with pressing pain in the cheek bones
  • Thick post-nasal drip
  • A cold that develops into a sinus infection, a ripe or late stage cold
  • Bones of the head feel sore. Pain in small spots moving around fast.
  • Cough with thick stringy mucus in bronchitis or asthma. Tickling sensation in chest, rattling breath in sleep. Metallic hacking cough.
  • Mind – the person talks in excessive detail about their condition. The tend to avoid other people. Very nasal sounding voice.
  • Worse: Alcohol, cold damp weather, in the morning. Aversion to meat.
  • Better: heat.
