Chamomilla

Chamomilla soothes tantrums, restlessness, screaming, ear infections and colic.  Think of Chamomilla for frustrated and contrary children who want say- pick me up put me down!  Less sick than belladonna not as weepy and delicate as pulsatilla which we will look at in week 5.

  • Anger, asthma, colic, diarrhoea, earache, indigestion, insomnia, nervous restlessness, teething, toothache.
  • Often a cross, contrary child, especially an infant teething.
  • Demands to be carried or rocked, can be inconsolable with screaming and crying, easily angered.
  • Very fussy, and quarrelsome. A child may ask for something then when he gets it, he changes his mind.
  • Ear pain and ear infection during teething, cannot stand music.
  • One cheek may be hot, the other pale.
  • Colic in infants when the child screams and arches their back.
  • Diarrhoea like chopped eggs or spinach. Belching also like eggs.
  • Abdominal pain is made worse by touch.
  • Very hypersensitive to pain, symptoms worse during teething.
  • Worse: anger, teething, cold wind, night.
  • Better: Being carried or riding in the car
  • Food and drink: Wants cold drinks.
