Calendula

Calendula is great for promoting the healing of minor cuts and grazes. Calendula is also great to use as a wash or in tincture form for cleaning wounds and can be purchased in cream and tincture form.

Primary indicated conditions:

  • Bleeding
  • Shallow cuts and abrasions
  • Grazes
  • Nappy rash
  • Shallow (non serious) burns
  • Eye injuries
  • Conjunctivitis, scars
  • Often used in a cream or tincture in an external application. It is an antiseptic and helps wounds heal by promoting granulation of tissues.

Note:  Calendula should not be applied topically on deep wounds, in case the wound heals too quickly on the surface which may trap bacteria in the deeper tissues and form an abscess in the deeper tissues..

Important!  Please seek immediate attention for any serious burn or wound.
